Sigrid was born to Wilhelm and Helga Frank on June 16, 1941 in Detroit, MI. Her parents immigrated from Germany to the United States where they raised her and her sister Helga.
Sigrid was a registered nurse by profession. Her career started at Children's Hospital and ended in the field of dermatology. She loved her job and all of of the people she worked with. Her life's workwas caring for and helping people.
Sigrid had a special ability to connect with people on a deep and personal level. She was an old soul whose wisdom and guidance touched and changed many lives.
Sigrid battled numerous health conditions with strength, dignity and courage like no other. After 5 days in hospice surrounded by her family and friends, our beautiful angel on Earth became an angel in heaven.
Her bright light will forever be remembered.
Sigrid is survived by; daughters Kristi (Mike) McFadden and Heidi (Ron) Schafer; grandchildren Nikki McFadden, Siena and Nolan Schafer. Also survived by her sister Helga Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her father Wilhelm and mother Helga.
A visitation for Sigrid will be held Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. A funeral in state will occur Monday, June 3, 2019 at 10:00 AM, with a funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A private burial will occur at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park, 35667 West Eight Mile, Livonia, Michigan 48152.
