

Steve Metro Tomen was born on February 12, 1928 in Ontario, Canada to John and Anna Tomen. He was the second youngest of ten children. Steve passed away peacefully in his home on May 6, 2020 at the age of 92. He was under the gentle care of Arbor Hospice.
Steve was the beloved husband of the late Helen for 62 years until she passed away in 2012. Loving father of Sue Beaudoin and the late Janis Boor. Dear grandfather of Michael (Katelyn) Beaudoin, Dr. Katie (Tommy) Green, Philip Beaudoin, Stephen Beaudoin, Buddy Boor and Brett Boor. Proud great-grandfather of Meilah, Ella, Ty, and Carson Beaudoin.
Survived by three siblings: Nellie Russian, Paul Tomen, and Lillian Fortuna.
Steve was a United States Army Veteran. He had a successful career as a licensed barber and entrepreneur. He owned 18 barber shops throughout metro Detroit, such as "Hub" and "Steve's Barber Shop", as well as other businesses. However, his passion was his family. He simply loved being a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to all. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
