Sylvia Jean Anderson

Sylvia married Richard Williams in 1966, and to this marriage 2 children were born; Ava and Richard Jr. They divorced in 1982, and Sylvia was then joined in marriage to Andrew Anderson and remained so until her passing.

Sylvia worked for Wayne County Government for 30 years in many capacities. 1st in ER admissions at Wayne County General Hospital, 2nd as a guard at the Wayne County Youth Home, 3rd as a registrar in the Wayne County Register of Deeds office.

After retiring Sylvia enjoyed entertaining family and friends, attending concerts and plays, and traveling the world. Sylvia was always dressed to the nines and she didn’t pull any punches or take any guff from anyone.

Sylvia succumbed to Alzheimer’s disease and left this life leaving her husband Andrew, sister Daisy, daughter Ava, son Richard, stepson Anthony, grandchildren Andrew, Sekoya, Nakai, Shileah, Khileah, Aaron, Austin, and Navan, 7 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends to mourn her loss.

Sylvia did not wish to have a funeral and her wishes are being honored. There will be a memorial celebration at a later time.
