

Ted was born on July 27, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Maximilian and Laura Kress. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, carrying the values of honor, dedication, and service throughout his life.
On September 15, 1962, Ted married the love of his life, Donna. Together they built a loving home and shared more than six decades of marriage, creating countless cherished memories with their family.
Ted dedicated 42 years of service to Detroit Edison before retiring. Retirement, however, did not slow him down. He found great enjoyment working at Radrick Farm Golf Course, where he spent another 22 years doing what he loved and connecting with friends and fellow golfers.
An avid golfer and bowler, Ted found joy both on the golf course and at the bowling alley. More than anything, he treasured time spent with his family, whose love and companionship were the greatest blessings of his life.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Donna; his children, Ted (Donna) Kress Jr., David Kress, Mary (Jim) Cooper, and Laura (Jim) Stephenson; his grandchildren, Taylor Cutting, Jarrett Cutting, Jordan Cutting, Ian Kress, Erin Kress, Samantha Kress, Emily (Trey) DeBrincat, Zachary Stephenson, Nicole Stephenson, and Teddy Stephenson; his great-grandchild, Parker Cutting; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Mary Jo Hatty, Michael (Judy) Campeau, Carol (John) Dziengowski, Donna (David) Fishman.
In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his siblings Ada (Hank) Woisky, George (Adeline) Kress, Eugene Kress, Marion (Ted) Campeau, daughter-in-law, Trish Kress, niece, Joyce Michaud, nephews Carl Woisky and Eugene Kress and his nephew-in-law, Joe Hatty.
Ted will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, deep devotion to his family, and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and in the family who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
The family finds comfort in knowing that Ted's life was one well lived, and his memory will continue to be a source of love, inspiration, and cherished stories for generations to come.
