Theresa Thecla Demers

A loving, kind and compassionate woman, Theresa made friends wherever she went. Beloved in the neighborhood she was always there for friends and family members that may need a helping hand, or to cook a delicious meal for them.

Theresa excelled in a variety of crafts and activities. She was a remarkable seamstress, tailor, quilter, embroiderer and photographer. Always trying to stay sharp, she loved to read and keep busy with word searches and games. She stayed up to date with the latest technology. Not a day went by that she wasn’t on the computer. A fearless woman, she was always up for something new and exciting. Although very independent, her love for her family, especially her grandchildren was unparalleled.

Theresa was the loving wife of the late J. Normand for 68 years. Beloved mother of Barry (Catherine), Gergory, Judy (Jack) Bendig, Michael and Ken (Lisa). Proud grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 8.

A deeply devote woman, Theresa’s life will be celebrated with a Memorial Mass officiated by Fr. Kevin Thomas on Monday August 7, 2017 at 9:30 am, with a gathering at 9 am, at St. Aidan Catholic Church, 17500 Farmington Rd. (north of Six Mile Rd) in Livonia.
