Timothy Karl Gleason

January 18, 1962August 2, 2020

Timothy Karl Gleason was born January 18, 1962 to his late parents Bill and Trudy Gleason in Battlecreek, Michigan. Tim passed away on August 2, 2020 at the age of 58. He is survived by his loving wife Julie who has been his rock for many years, proud father of his 3 daughters; Breanna, Chelsey, Cierra and soon to be father-in-law to Jason. Dear son-in-law of Nancy "Granny", cherished grandpa to one-month old Lukas. Also survived by many extended family, friends and his 2 faithful companions Finnegan and Chumlee, fur-friends.

Tim resided in Livonia, Michigan and grew his label printing company "American Label & Tag" and "American Label Group" in Canton and Florida with his family by his side. Tim enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his 4 girls. Tim loved flying his plane whenever he had the chance. He loved to fly his family down to Florida where they would spend most of their holidays. The family would spend weekends at their cottage up north boating on Lake Isabella. Tim also enjoyed golfing with his buddies, but most of all with his wife. He was a great cook and loved BBQing on the weekends to entertain his family and friends. Tim will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held on Thursday August 6, 2020 from 5-9pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home in Livonia. A funeral service will take place at 7:00pm on Thursday August 6th outside at the funeral home. Tim's final resting place will be at Parkview Cemetery next to his mother and brother.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Angel Flight in memory of Tim Gleason. Please see the links below to donate.

The other day I was do yard work, I started thinking about Tim. I was wondering why I hadn't seen him yet. Usually he would drive through the old neighborhood and if he saw me outside, he would stop to say "hi", touch base about his our friends from school, wife, kids, dogs and flying. I knew Tim from growing up in the same neighborhood, attending Junior High and High School and sitting near each other for six years in homeroom. I remember Tim drawing his logo for his successful business. Tim knew I flew planes and would ask me some questions. I was glad he became a pilot and also liked dogs. I will miss talking with you. I got a kick out of seeing you in your sunglasses and stopping with your daughters and dog in the car. You were so proud of your family. I still can't believe your not here. My prayers are with your family. You sure made your dreams come true. Take will always be in our hearts.

Tim. We were so close in HS. We met in Bel Canto Choir. He was so much fun. So many memories. Hanging out with the gang on Sat nights to watch Saturday Night Live. Late runs to Taco Bell. We coached grade school basketball together. My parents LOVED him and my younger brother Art DuRivage looked up to Tim as kind of a big brother. We reconnected many years later When Tim flew his plane through Louisville and then again while Tim and Julie came to KY for the Derby. I can’t believe he’s gone. RIP Tim. My sympathies to his family.

I have known Tim since late 2003 when my life was in a state of flux. It didn't take long to see that working for Tim was not going to be a cakewalk, but it is in difficulty that growth occurs. Yes, Tim was a successful business owner, but he was successful because he had crews in two plants that he drove on to greatness. Americal Label & Tag / American Label Group are great companies because he convinced us that we all could be great too. It felt like a family. All of us - including his wife and daughters - went a little bit further than they thought they could. But nobody could push Tim further than he pushed himself. He wasn't about "Do this because I said so.", he was "Look what I do! You can do it too!" Love and encouragement were not just words - he demonstrated and lived by example. These were not simply co-workers; this was my work family.

Tim Gleason, I will lovingly remember you for the rest of my life. The lessons I learned will be with me always and I will pass them on.

A lot of us remember tim from junior high and high school. I played a lot of baseball against and with him in high school. When I found out he lived so close we kinda re connected for a little. Opening day. A trip with the fellas to buffalo to see the lions pre season game on the bus. A great time as always. Stay strong Gleasons

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Gleason family. Although we don't know you all very well, we feel like we do. Watching the Gleason family enjoy each other was always nice to see. There is one thing for sure, when Tim, Julie and family were up at Lake Isabella, the lake energy rose to another level. God Bless you all.

Always so much fun when we were together!! You had a way of making everyone feel special. I will “cherish” all of our times together that we shared. I love your repeated jokes....check out my dance moves from 1997, Tony how much for the expensive hood ornament, the way you would whine and say no you can’t go, hurry up I need your bikini top, “B”... I could go on and on!!! Love you friend💔
