I worked with Ty from his very earliest days at FDA until the time he retired. I never met anyone who was so universally liked and well respected. He was my friend and a friend to all those whose lives he touched. My condolences go out to his family. I know he is dearly missed by all.

So where do i start. I've tried to do this a couple of times already and as i set here I find it so hard to put into words Just how much you have added to my life.
words to me are only a way to express part of what one can say. You have given everyone you've known.More than anyone can imagine. Your heart was always so big.And you never forgot a brother veteran, or let a friend walk alone.
the times that we talked, will always be remembered as special to me and even though we may never be able to set down and talk.I will always be able to
look up into heaven and say I love you and thank you for all you gave without asking nothing in return.

   p.s.  just try not to be to out going in heaven. remember you and i have that

As a member of the class of Cody '67, deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Ty. He will be fondly remembered. Please know my thoughts will be with you in the months ahead.

My wife and I are very sorry for your loss.  Ty will be missed by many.  We spent a couple of our summer vacations from college cleaning brick.  It was dirty and nasty work, but he never complained.  He was a quiet guy and I enjoyed his company immensely.

You always went above and beyond to do for others, you put everyone first even in your final days your were worried about my mother and us kids. Thank you for being my father and showing me what a husband and father should be. 
You were truly a blessing that was sent from heaven to our family and it saddens me that you had to leave us so soon, we all love you so so very much. I wish God gave us more time with you, but I guess he needed you more than we did... maybe God needed heaven to get organized. J
In these last weeks, days I got to spend with you, I watched one man take on so much and didn't complain. You were extremely brave and courageous during this time, if it would have help, you did it and I thank you for trying to do everything possible to see if there was a way to get better and continue being a husband, father, pap, brother and so much more... 
You are what every man should be. I didn't know one person who didn't admire you in some way. I'm so happy for the memories that I do have and the time that we spent together. There will forever be a missing piece of my life without you in it.. I will forever miss you and I love you.

Not only was our family blessed to have him a part of it, but so was the world. You touched our lives and our hearts. Uncle Ty you will be deeply missed and always loved.
