Ty Fujiwara, 64, passed away on May 26, 2013. Born in Detroit, MI, he joined the Army and served in Vietnam from 1968-1970 and graduated from U of M in 1975. He lived in Virginia and Maryland where he worked for the FDA for 31 years and then retired to New Bern, NC.
Ty is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Chris, Mike, Travis; daughter, Shannon; brothers, Fuj, Kim (Terri); sisters, Rainy (Norm) Sunamoto, Tina Murphy; granddaughters, Brianna, Charity; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile, Livonia, MI 48152 on June 9, 2013. Visitation is from 12-5 p.m. with a memorial service from 3:30-4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family are appreciated.
Guests are welcome to join in with some of the family members who will be wearing U of M or any Michigan sports tee shirts honoring Ty’s love for Michigan.
