Vincent A. "Vince" Varilone, 48, of Livonia, passed away June 22, 2019 after a 20-month battle with cancer. Vince was born in Livonia on September 27, 1970 to Michael & Karen Varilone. He grew up in Redford, and graduated from Lee M. Thurston High School in 1988. He attained his Associates Degree from Western Michigan University. As a security systems installer he loved the aspect of helping others by keeping them safe. All knew that Vince put God first, and his passion in life was his family and friends. In addition, he was known for being the "Rock" of his family and most importantly, his honesty. Vince was the one who "had your back" and was always a good listener for others. He was an ultimate hockey fan, but also enjoyed Michigan Football and his forlorn Lions. Earlier in life Vince played soccer, basketball and baseball.
Vince is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, and best friend for 26 years, Sheila M. (nee: Baker); his daughter, Kayla; son, Jon, brother, Mike (Lisa) Varilone; mother, Karen (Mike) Graham; Sheila's parents, Jim & Carol Baker, and her sisters Dawn and Ashley Baker; aunts, Jan (Chris) Geiger and Rose (Ron) Targosz. nephews, Matthew, Tommy and Luke; niece, Grace.
Also survived by cousins and uncle, Bob (Kathy) Varilone.
Vince was pre-deceased by his father, Michael J. Varilone, Sr.; uncles, Thomas Varilone and Ron Varilone and both pairs of grandparents, Albert & Irene Costa and Ernie & Rose Varilone; also great uncle and aunt, Justy & Lee Marinelli.
Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 West Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an education trust fund for his childrens’ college education in care of Sheila M. Varilone at Dearborn Federal Credit Union (DFCU) at 37373 Seven Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152.
