Virginia H. Will
December 22, 1916 – August 2, 2019
Virginia Helen Will was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 22, 1916 to Herman and Alma Heineman. She was one of two children. Virginia passed away peacefully in her Florida home with her family by her side on August 2, 2019 at the age of 102. She was under the gentle care of Kindred Hospice and Home Instead.
Virginia is survived by her daughter Nancy Muzbeck Spence; daughter Kathleen (her husband Kurt) Haas; son Robert Will; and daughter-in-law Jacqueline Will. She leaves behind seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren with one on the way soon to make it 16. Virginia will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Harry J. Will; her second husband Donald Callum: son James H. Will; sister Grace Gerstenschlager; parents Herman & Alma Heineman and one grandchild. Virginia supported her husband while he was starting the successful family business and legacy of Harry J. Will Funeral Homes. She was a devoted wife and mother throughout all of the good and difficult times they had together. Virginia was extremely active in the Lutheran Communities as well as her neighborhood communities. She was in the Ladies Guild and The Lutheran High School Association. Virginia was even named Lutheran Woman of the Year. She loved flower gardens and was a member of the Farmington Garden Club. Virginia was well known for how exquisite her gardens were. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling and spending her summers in Canada with Don and the many friends she made. However, her passion was her family. Virginia simply loved being a wife, mom, grandma and friend.
Virginia's family will receive guests for a visitation and funeral service on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Visiting will begin at 12:00pm with a service to follow promptly at 2:00pm. Virginia will be laid to rest with her husband Harry J. Will in Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park Cemetery, Livonia, Michigan. The services will be led by Reverend Timothy P. Halboth of Grace Lutheran Church of which Virginia was a long time active member.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Virginia's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared in the guest book for the Will family. Any messages will be printed in a keepsake book for the Will family to treasure for years to come.
