Walter was preceded in death by Rose (Wolan), his cherished wife for 72 years and his beloved son Gregory, age 64.
Loving father of Larry (Kathleen), Constance (Matthew) Petter, Mary (Scott) Cantor and Mark (Christine); grandfather of Thomas, Joseph, Justin, Brandon, Ryan, Eric, Andrew, Zachary, Courtney, Marie, Madeline, and Isabella; great grandfather of Graydon, Tegan, Cole, James, Sophia and Philip.

Mr. Skynar served in the US Navy during World War II, specializing in radio electronics. After his service, he was hired at Ford Motor Company as a draftsman. Highly motivated, he learned on the job and with additional coursework over a span of 38 years, rose over time to be a director of engineering.
He built one of the first tv's in the neighborhood and subsequently provided tv and radio services to friends and family alike. As a young father, he built two garages with his brother Stan, a go cart using a lawn mower and scraps, kitchen cupboards and counters with self-laid laminate to name a few. He loved active time with family, sledding, boating, water skiing, traveling the US and camping as a Boy Scout troop leader. He was an early adapter and captured memories with a reel-to-reel tape recorder and his cutting-edge glass photography slides and film reels.
Wally was fun loving and wore a smile that lit up the room. His goal in life was to make wherever he went better than when he got there, continually developing and using his talents to be "wanted" by others, being generous but never wasting a penny. His legacy of unconditional love and service will live on in the hearts of all he touched.
