Wanda was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma on January 10, 1928, the daughter of the late Noble Dewey Outland and Lena Marelle Outland. She married Rene Joseph Boutin on August 29, 1953 in Detroit, MI. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1976.
Wanda is survived by her 2 children Roger D. Boutin and Michelle A Boutin; 5 grandchildren, Kelly (Bryan) Shoemaker, Cory Boutin, Kayleen Schepper, Michael Schepper, and Taylor Schepper; and 2 great grandchildren Owen and Wren Shoemaker.
Wanda followed her family to Detroit, MI from Wewoka, Oklahoma in 1946. Wanda then attended Wayne State University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and continued in that career while raising her family. Wanda was a member of Ward Presbyterian Church where she volunteered in the library. She was very artistic and was an accomplished seamstress where she took great pride and pleasure in making her own clothes. Some of her favorite hobbies were gardening, knitting, quilting, cooking, and reading. The most important thing in Wanda's life was her family and friends.
