Warren Joseph Hug was born and raised in Troy, NY to Warren W. Hug and Josephine (Cirago) Hug. Warren is predeceased by his father. Survived by his Mother, Josephine Hug. His siblings; Joann (late David) Cole, Thomas (Marian) Hug, Robert (Cindy) Hug, Mary Consola (Bob). Warren has 4 children, Cheryl Carroll (Paul), Michael Hug (Nicole), Jessica Kelley (Casey), Joseph Hug (Tanya). Eleven grandchildren, Krysta, Anthony, Marc, Hunter, Blake, Lucas, Rilynn, Bryce, Zachary, Chase and Kyler. Three Great Grandchildren, Wyatt, Everett and Vera Louise.
Thank you to many friends, in his time of need, in both Michigan and New York. A very special thank you, to Alison Hug. Like an angel, you are the hands of kindness and care. You offered support and compassion in difficult times. You were dad’s encouragement and comfort, you will never be forgotten. He loved to joke, party and live life to the fullest. He was known as Peter Pan by his friends.
Warren, will be missed by two, very special ladies, Sandee Hug and Alison Hug They will always hold a special place in their hearts or him. He was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1959. He then chose to fight for his country, in the Us Marine Corp, enlisted 1960-1964. He was an aircraft mechanic, stationed in Vietnam, with an honorable discharge. He started his family in Troy, and his career at Ford motor Company in Green Island. He and several very good friends relocated to Ford Motor Company plant in Plymouth, MI. After 34 years he retired. He was a very active member in his Union UAW 845. Where he served many terms as an Elected Community member. He also was dedicated and elected to his Retiree Chapter for 3 terms. He was a catholic parishioner of St Francis De Sales church in Troy, NY, Saints Simon and Jude Church in Westland MI.
There is a service on December 10, 2022 at Saints Simon & Jude Church, 32500 Palmer Road, Westland from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Mass at 11:00am with Honor Guards at 12:15pm. Celebration gathering at the Eagles following church, 35850 Earl Street. Wayne 48184
And a second Catholic mass service on December 17, 2022 at 10am, at St. Joseph’s church 416 3rd Street Troy, NY 12180.
