As I turn 72 today on the 2nd anniversary of your passing, I'm thinking about you.  We had some great times together along with sharing our common interest in baseball.  You were a "hit" at my wedding too when you "caught" the garter - a moment in time I will always remember.  Thanks for being such a great friend.  You truly were a brother to me and you are missed.

Bill was a great brother in law and great friend. We both fell in love with a Heathman girl and developed a great friendship. We had a lot in common and shared an interest in cars, sports, family and both worked in the automotive business for a number of years. We went on many road trips to one or another car show, sometimes hours long, and talked about everything and nothing at the same time. I couldn't tell you exactly what we talked about, but the time flew by and I remember us being brought to near tears by the hilarity of the conversation. I will miss these moments the most. Jacque, you were the light of Bill's life. Michael and Bryan, your dad was very proud of the adults you both have become. I do remember him bringing this up often in our talks. Rest in peace brother, you will be missed.

Jackie and family: First of all, my sincere condolences and prayers to all. Bill was such a wonderful guy that I was happy to have reacquainted with at two of the past Bentley reunions. He has never changed. Still the same Bill I first met when our family moved to Livonia in November, 1969 and we became friends at Riley. Bill continued to give me a hard time calling me "the one who took away his starting basketball guard position in 9th grade" but we both could chuckle and remember those memories. I also played baseball with Bill and remember him as a quiet leader on the team. Although dealing with his death is difficult, I am finding peace through remembering those days. Please focus and cherish those memories in these difficult times of sorrow. Rest in peace bill, and save a spot up there for the rest of us on your team.

So hard to believe you're gone.   You were always fun to talk to and catch up with when we would finally connect on the phone or in person.  I have some great memories of our conversations together and commiserating over the auto industry and how crazy it became.  You and Jacque made such a great couple and I'm sure she will miss you so much.  God speed my friend.  Rest in peace.  The world has lost a genuinely nice guy and more importantly, your family and friends will miss you dearly.  With much love, Faris.

Dear Jackie : I would like to express my deepest condolences to you and your family in these painful moments.

I meet Bill while working at west Michigan Molding,  He became a very good friend at work and away from work. I going to miss him.

I first met Bill over 60 years ago when my family moved next door to his grandparents on Jacquelyn Dr. in Livonia.  Bill was like a brother to me, and we shared many experiences growing up together along with the other boys in the neighborhood.  We loved the game of baseball and played on several teams together including the Bentley HS Bulldogs.  

The news of his passing was a shock.  My heartfelt condolences to his family on his passing.  To Karol, my Jacquelyn Dr sister, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My cousin Bill will always be remembered.   I will remember us growing up and having the family holiday dinners at his parent's house and us playing pool.  I was glad to see and talk to him after many years when all us cousins had an online call (we  live all over the country).  He will be missed.

Save a spot on the team for me Bill & a stool at the Bar because one day I'll be with you and it will be like old times again . Damn I wish you had a few more games left in you down here but well play every day in Heaven !

I spent a fair amount of time talking with Bill at the 50th. Once I clearly recognized who he was , memories focused  to the middle school and high-school conversations. He would always gently chide me. I played 2nd base because, like he said “ I had a poor arm”.  I looked at his mate and thought she was his daughter. He looked at me like, you idiot , that is my wife ! “ As a doctor and someone who also  lost a younger brother suddenly at the age of 63 , like all of use,  I appreciate how fragile and precious life is .  I am stunned and offer deep condolences to the family and friends.
