

He was born to the late Franklin V. and Lila Prevo Murray, Jan. 26, 1921, in Syracuse, NY. Bill graduated from Central High School, in Syracuse, in 1938. He married Jean Malcomb Murray in 1943. They lived in Redford Township for most of their married life before moving to Central Lake, MI after he retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1974.
Bill was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946 and served in the Army reserves during the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed the game of golf.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Malcomb Murray; a sister Betty Ruth Rood of Syracuse; his daughter Mrs. Sandra Jean Ziegler (Clyde) of Frisco, TX and her two children Michael and Karen; his son Ken William Murray (Colleen) of Livonia, MI and his two children Michelle and Julie. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Bill's family will receive friends on Friday August 23, 2013 from 6-9 pm with a Memorial Service at 8 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of I-275 and Newburgh Rd.) in Livonia.
