Peacefully at Strathroy General Hospital on September 19, 2012, Alethea Braund in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Jack Braund. Loving mother of John Braund (Sharon) and Bill Braund (Sarah). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Kimberly, Scott and Cheryl, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Alethea is survived by her sisters Helen Shepperd, Jean McPherson, Dorothy Davies and Lois Crawley. A special thank you for the care and compassion to the staff at Tsi’Nu: Youantle Na’Tuhuwatisni (Oneida Nursing Home) and Strathroy General Hospital. A funeral service will be held in the Needham Funeral Chapel (520 Dundas St. London) on Saturday September 29, 2012 at 12 noon with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will take place on Monday October 1, 2012 at 11 am at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations in memory of Alethea to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
