It is with much sadness that the family of Lorraine (Davidson) Barnes announce her peaceful passing at Meadow Park Long Term Care on July 8, 2020 in her 87th year. Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Harold Barnes for almost 60 years. Dear mother of Sharon (Michael) Wright and Scott (Carol) Barnes and a very proud and loving grandmother. She enjoyed travelling to Sarnia and Dorchester to visit: Lyndsay (Harvey); Derek; Keely (Tasha) and Jacy. Lorraine is predeceased by her brothers John and Neil Davison and sister Mary Pennecott. She will be dearly missed by her sister Shirley Ladouceur, sisters in law Bette Davison and Shirley Barnes along with her nieces and nephews.
In her early years, Lorraine attended Beal Tech High School and worked at Victoria Hospital as a candy striper. She made lifelong friends there playing Euchre regularly and having many social gatherings. She worked as a secretary at Supertest Petroleum Ltd. Until she left to raise her family. Once her children were grown she worked at Sears in the Maintenance Department. Lorraine and Harold enjoyed travelling in their RV as well as travelling around the world. A private family service will be held at Needham Funeral Service. Donations in memory of Lorraine may be made to Canadian Alzheimer Society. A special thank you to the staff at Meadow Park for the compassion and care they provided.
