Barbara Ann Armstead - March 28, 1939 to March 10, 2020. It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Barbara Ann Armstead on March 10, 2020 at her home in London. Dear mother of Martha Benjamin and Jody (Tony Knoop). Loving grandmother to Daryl Meriam (Lyndi), Kyle Benjamin (Amanda), Cassandra Benjamin (Kyle) and Thomas Overboe. Cherished great grandmother to Reagan, Weston, Jackson and Vaeda. Predeceased by her husband Paul Armstead (1964), her parents Margaret (Johnston-1939) and David Buchanan, brother James Buchanan and her special aunt Ann and uncle Edward Montgomery (whom she lovingly referred to as Mom and Dad). Barbara will also be dearly missed by her many friends. She was a dedicated employee of PUC/London Hydro for over 30 years. In retirement, Barbara enjoyed her family and friends, camping, sports and travel. She will be remembered as a kind and devoted mother, grandmother and loyal friend. As per Barbara’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the London Humane Society.
