Eleanor Jean Ivey

IVEY, Eleanor Jean, peacefully passed away on January 7, 2025, in her 88th year after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her children Karen, David and his wife Bonni, and Stephen and his wife Tina. Her grandchildren Shannon and her husband Brian, Robin and her husband Dathan, Nicola and her fiancé Dan, Tyler, and her great-grandson Adam. Along with her furry feline companion Topaz.

She was predeceased by her husband Gerald whom she was married to for 35 years before his passing in 1994. Also predeceased her brother Jim (2017), sister Judy (1954) and son-in-law Mike (2024)

Eleanor was a woman of faith finding strength, joy, and comfort in her religion. She was also an accomplished artist whose passion for painting showed in each of her pieces.

Visitation will take place at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas St.) on Monday January 13, 2025 from 2-4 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish ( 1 Fallon Ln.) on Tuesday January 14, 2025 at 10 am with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Joseph’s Health Care – Palliative Care Program where she received amazing care in her final days.
