Her strength was evident as she rose to the challenges of a military wife including annual moves. She was a fantastic cook and hostess, famous for her pies. Travelling and visiting family and friends were her lifelong passions. She never wanted to miss a trip. As a young girl she got up early every day and dressed up ready to go so that if someone was going somewhere she would not miss out. She started her working career in 1959 as a teller at the Bank of Montreal, Market Square and still maintained regular contact with the “bank girls“. Later as a real estate agent she used her military wife skills to assist others with moving at which she excelled. She was the consummate friend, always ready to listen, share your troubles, give sound advice, have a good laugh, share her recipes or bake a pie or coconut cake if needed.
