Quietly, in his 86th year George Walden passed away early on March 31, 2012. Predeceased by his beloved wife Helen (McDonald). He will be greatly missed by son Jim, daughter-in-law Yvonne, and grandchildren Thomas and Rachel. Survived by his dear sister Ruth. George was predeceased by sisters Vera Smythe, Thelma Appleton and Jean Mezza, and brothers Frank Walden, and Ted Walden. George’s integrity and kindness reflected his life-long faith in God’s love for everyone. A celebration of George’s life will occur on Wednesday, April 4 at 2 p.m., Needham’s Funeral Service (520 Dundas St., London). Light refreshment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mission Services of London, The Heart & Stroke Foundation or The Salvation Army are welcome.
