Giuseppe Di Loreto

It is with great sadness the Di Loreto family announces the passing of Giuseppe Di Loreto (Joe) on Sunday July 3, 2011 at University Hospital at the age of 78. Born in Italy, Pratola Peligna in 1933, Joe made his home and life in Canada from 1953-2011. Beloved husband of Elisabeth for 53 years. Adored father of Marco and his wife Liz, Linda and her husband Martin Smits. Cherished Nonno of Joey, Matthew, Jeremy, Jacob and David. Dear brother of Raimondo Di Loreto, Vilma Troiano (Franco), Delfina D’Alessandro (Rino), Elsa De Bellis (Ottavio) and Lia Rattazzi. Predeceased by his parents Guglielmo and Vilia Di Loreto, his brother Enrico Di Loreto and his wife Irma, sister in law Lucia Di Loreto and brother in law Gino Rattazzi. Fondly remembered by his many sister and brothers in law, nieces, nephews. Also remembered by many, many friends and neighbors as the Mayor of Mardell. Visitation will be held in the Needham Funeral Chapel (520 Dundas St.) on Tuesday July 5 from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with the Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Church (Dundas St at Oakland Ave) Thursday July 7, 2011 at 12 noon.
