but courageous battle with lung cancer. Glenn Davidson of London ON, formerly of Glace
Bay NS and Thunder Bay ON in his 65th year. Best friend and devoted husband of Penny
Davidson (DeGraw) for 22 years. Beloved father of Lee Davidson and Amy Davidson
Lagrove (Greg) both of London ON. Dear brother of Lynne Haxton (Evan) of Burlington ON.
Predeceased by his father Alex Davidson (2006) and Anita (nee Hakomaki) Davidson
(1995).
Glenn had the kindest soul and the brightest smile that could light up the room. He was
always quick with a corny joke that would put a smile on anyone's face whenever you were
feeling a bit down. He never lost his sense of humor even on his hardest days and somehow
put you at ease to see him.
Glenn loved with every part of his being unconditionally. He always put his needs aside and
made sure that I had everything I needed. He supported me through all my health issues,
and it was my pleasure to see him through his final journey. We laughed and cried and even
got frustrated with each other but we were together until he passed. I will miss him.
If you were lucky enough to call Glenn friend, you had a devoted friend for life. He had 3 very
close long time friends that meant a lot to him Mike, Wayne (Weiner) and his longest
friendship was with Eddy, he loved all of you. He made friends easily and would start a
conversation with anyone. He would stand on the front step vaping and say hi to all the
neighbors, he really was a social butterfly.
Glenn was a longtime employee of Metro/ A&P, he dedicated 38yrs of his life to that store. It
has always been a close knit group, more family than coworkers. Everyone always says
Glenn came with the store, he started when A&P was a stand alone store and continued to
work when the new store was built. He would go above and beyond for both staff and
customers alike. Every morning he would have regular customers come and give him hugs,
and he would take the time to ask how they were and help them find items they needed. The
prayers and thoughts from many customers have really helped to lift his spirits.
It has really amazed us as his family to see just how many lives he has truly touched. He
was a very special person who will never be forgotten.
