Predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Marguerite Statham and sister-in-law Allison Statham.
Hilary is survived by her husband Peter Broad, brothers Anthony Statham and Andrew Statham, her son, Christopher Broad and Daughter Vikky Broad (Michele Broad). Also survived by her grandchildren, Katlynn Dorey, Jasmine Dorey (Ashley Dorey) and James Dorey (RH), and her great grandson Winston Dorey. Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews and friends around the world.
Born in Liverpool England, Hilary trained as a nurse/midwife at Clatterbridge Hospital, then after working for several years in England, went to Zambia to nurse, where she met her future husband Peter. After marriage they settled in South Africa where she continued to work as a nurse and had both children before immigrating to Canada. Hilary continued nursing initially in Timmins, then Lynn Lake Manitoba, and back to Timmins. She finally moved down to London Ontario in 2004. Hilary volunteered with Timmins Therapeutic Horseback riding as well as 1884 Royal Canadian Army Cadets in Timmins, and the London Humane Society. Hilary was an avid knitter, and crotchetier, helping out at the Boys and Girls Club while her health allowed it. She loved her family and friends with the ferocity of a mother bear!

Funeral will be held at 2pm on 13th September 2024 at Needhams Funeral home. Family visitation will occur at 1pm before the services. A light reception will follow.
