Born in Oshawa, Ontario, Jack was the beloved son of the late Sherman and Mary Travis. He spent the majority of his life in Oshawa, where he built not only a career but a life rooted in hard work, loyalty, and family. A proud steamfitter with Local 46, Jack was known for his dedication to his trade and the quiet pride he took in providing for those he loved.
Jack was predeceased by his cherished wife, Judy, whose memory he carried with him always. Together, they built a life centred on family, resilience and quiet strength.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Erin (Dave), and his son, Jason (Dana), who were by his side in his final moments. Jack was a proud and loving grandfather to Declan, Raelyn, and Bryson, whom he was deeply proud of.
Beyond his work and family, Jack found his greatest peace at the family farm. He had a deep appreciation for nature and the simple life—finding contentment in quiet moments, open spaces, and time spent outdoors. It was there that his spirit felt most at home.
Jack will be remembered for his steady presence, his strong work ethic, and his deep, unwavering commitment to his family. Though he was a man of few words, his actions spoke volumes, leaving a lasting legacy in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
