His family is deeply sadden but also feeling comfort that he passed away on the 3rd anniversary of his beloved wife Barb’s passing. It was truly his time to go be with her, also he is at rest with his son Duckit Jr. (Jamie).
Jim was born on March 5, 1939 in North Rustico PEI to Laurence and Elinor Doucette.
Jim started his career in the Royal Canadian Regiment in Georgetown Military base, New Brunswick.
Jim married the love of his life Barbara Anne Cotterill on January 23rd, 1960. Then they started their family with Kim, Cindy and Jamie. Jim was always so proud of his three children.
Jim worked happily as a Milkman, starting at Borden and then retiring after 39 years from Nestle. Jim made so many great friends over his many years of work. He was also fortunate to work along side his son.
So we all know how much Jim loved his Montreal Canadians! He also loved playing and coaching slow pitch. He played in the Industrial league at Slow pitch City, which always ended up with team parties in our backyard! So many great memories. He also loved watching the London Knights play of Fridays with Barb: even though she would yell at the t.v.
Duckit Sr., the strong silent man will be sadly missed by his daughters Kim (Louies), Cindy (Vic) and daughter-in-law Lynda (Jamie), his grandchildren Darryl (Megan), Amanda (Corey), Josh, Jourdan, Jamie, Austin and Dylan, great grandchildren Brook, Rowen, Nolan, Maddison, Rye, and Cruz. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Sue, Roma (Allan), brothers Brian (David) and Roland. Jim will also be missed by sister/brother/in-law Dee Dee and Tiss Gheller and their family Corrie(Terry), Jeremy (Jess), Shawn (Jess).
Predeceased by Edward (Olive), Gerald, Brendon and Mickey
