Peacefully in London, on December 30th in his 81st year. Loved by his children J. Scott and Laura Lynn. Grandchildren Matthew, Christin, Amanda and great granddaughter Elizabeth. Remembered by his former wife, Joan and missed by Sherry Heideman. Survived by his brother Ron (Kathy) Atkinson and sister Berniece Clouthier. Predeceased by his siblings Glen Atkinson (WWII), Bill Atkinson, Mary Johnson, Helen Clapp and Ilene Major. Survived by many nieces and nephews. At his request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place and will be interred at McDowell cemetery at a later date. In memory of John, donations may be made to Domestic Abuse Service Oxford (975 James, Woodstock, ON).
