José Luis was my uncle's oldest son. I am ten years older than him, but we had a friendship that transcended age and place. Jose Luis was a special person, he will be missed by the whole Rayo family. I know he loved his son Alex very much and was doing everything in his power to be the best father he could be. Alex will be watched over by him, just like he will watch over all of us He was a caring person.
Until we meet again good friend.

I was so so sorry to hear of Luis passing. He had such a smile and was always there to listen when you needed an ear. He will be greatly missed by so many.

I have known Luis for the past 4 years. He and Alex have been to visit for dinner and celebrations at my home. Alex was Luis's whole world!! He only wanted the best for him and he worked so hard both professionally and personally to make sure his sweet son had everything he needed. He mentored lots of other men and women and we all loved his laughter and his beautiful smile. He will be missed and always hold a special place in my heart. I wish his families peace and hope during this time of grief.

To my beloved brother,
LUIS. By Steve Tracy

“Luis”
is a dear friend. He is a confidante on my own personal journey through this experience; life.
We often share about the distractions away from God. And what we could do to to keep them away.

He is a beautiful man and is full of compassion for others. We always shared love that we know is a gift of God. And he wanted to hang around those that shared that gift. He served food to the homeless.

He loves his only son, Alex,so very much. And said his number one focus was to give his only son everything he could to make life beautiful.Luis never talked negative about his family. He has great love for his father and often said his father had a profound change in his life due to a spiritual experience and would say that he was on the same journey. A journey towards LOVE and a meaningful relationship with GOD.

Luis, has a fantastic laugh from the gut! It always makes me smile when I hear his laugh. And others were lightened up by it. When we parted he would always say warmly,
“ I love you , buddy!”

I miss him dearly and I know I will see him again with our Lord and Saviour, together.
That’s where it will all be perfect !

“ I love you , buddy!”

I met Luis while he was training at Honda, he always had a smile and was ready to laugh. Eventually we were a couple, & I thought he had turned into an exceptional father who loved his son very, much and was trying so hard to make his life better for the both of them. He was always there for me-ready to listen, and laugh and cry with me. Teasing me was his passion, and he made me laugh more then anyone. When we worked together I was his supervisor for a while and I could never give him hell because he would always stare at me and say "I can't listen to you because I'm just looking at your blue eyes." Of course that made me laugh and how could I possibly continue scolding him??
Even though things did not work out for us, I will always miss you Luis. I love you and my heart is broken with your loss.

Luis worked for us for 3 years awhile back, and I have nothing but good things to say, and was torn between laughing and crying as we had plenty of both. Hard times back then for us as a company, and Luis worked so diligently. He was an awesome person, and I lost touch with him over the years. I was so saddened for Carla and Alex--and know he meant so much to so many. RIP Luis, until we meet again and many prayers to all of Luis' family and friends.

See you on the other side...

My heartfelt sympathy to family and friends.
I feel so blessed and will be forever grateful to have met Luis. First impressions are significant in life and often quite memorable. We didn’t know each other well, and his impact on my life was brief, but powerful. When I met Luis, with his son three years ago, I liked him immediately. His bright smile, friendly hello and warm welcome were unforgettable. I remember admiring his loving, attentive and playful way with his son. I could see he was such a proud father. I enjoyed his sense of humour. I will remember you always, Luis.
Rest In Peace my friend.

I was friends with Jose since the late 1990s in Montreal when we were cinema ushers together. He was very funny, had lots of charisma and trilingual. He was there for me during difficult times and always an awesome friend, always generous with his time and as a host at his home. One of the best memories of my life was when he visited me in Korea and we went on a trip to Thailand together. I regrettably didn't see him much in recent years and I miss him now. God bless you, Jose, love you. Gone but not forgotten, hope to see you on the other side when my time comes.
