Lena was predeceased by her beloved parents, Martynas and Auguste-Paulina Jokubpreiksas. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Kostas, in 1997, and by her son, Jonas Barcauskas, in 2000.
She will be deeply missed by her cherished children, Linda MacDougall (Clermont, FL) and Susan Barcauskas (St. Thomas, ON). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jessica Barcauskas (Kanata, ON), Kyle MacDougall and Kailey MacDougall (Clermont, FL), great-grandson Easton Jonas Hawdur (Kanata, ON) and daughter-in-law Rebecca Barcauskas (Grand Bend, ON).
Lena was a devoted mother and Nana whose strength and care shaped the lives of those around her. No one could match Nana's tiramisu and mashed potatoes. She took great joy and pride in gardening and loved the outdoors, especially camping with her family. Since immigrating to Canada, Lena was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan who enjoyed sharing her knowledge of the game with everyone.
A faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 40 years, Lena found great comfort and community through her congregation.
