With love and sorrow, we remember Marilyn Olinda Burke—a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, loving sister, caring aunt, and dear friend. She passed away on May 9, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and unconditional love.
Marilyn was the heart and soul of her family. A woman of unwavering dedication, she poured love into every detail—especially in the kitchen, where her meals and warm welcomes made everyone feel like family. She had her own particular way of doing things and made sure they were done right. Fiercely determined, she approached every task with care and strength.
Her love for her children was deep and constant. She was always there when they needed her, offering steady support and guidance.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved children: Terese, Robin, and Catlon; and her treasured grandchildren: Chavaun, Kaya, Omari, and Leanna Mia, who will forever hold her memory close.
She now joins in peaceful rest her beloved son, Robert; her sister, Carol; and her parents, Adinah, Egbert, and Josephine.
She is also survived by six loving siblings and many dear friends who brought joy to her life and will feel her absence deeply.
Marilyn’s strength, resilience, and generous spirit touched all who knew her. She lived with love and purpose—her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped and the memories she leaves behind.
Forever in our hearts.
