

It is with Heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Muriel Alma Greenbeck on Wednesday March 29, 2017, in her 102nd year.
Muriel was the beloved wife of Eric Knud Greenbeck (April 6, 1965) and loving mother of Eric Greenbeck Jr. (Dec.25,2013) She was also predeceased by her parents Joseph and Sarah Adele Sales; sisters, Gladys (Knud) Ditlevaen, and Stella (Louis) Jensen; brother, Oswald (Grace) Sales; nephew Louis Jensen Jr.; and a great grandson Christopher Campbell.
She is survived by her children Joyce (Don) Nixon, Sharon (Ben) Geleynse and Keith (Susan) Greenbeck and by her daughter in law Dianne Greenbeck.
Muriel is also survived by a large and loving familly including grandchildren Lynn (Mike) McMahon, Doug (Elaine) Nixon, Karen (Rick) Campbell, Steve Nixon, Ann (Mike 2008) Ellenor, Jim (Judy) Nixon,Russell (Mary-Ann) Greenbeck, Lee Greenbeck, Laurel (Kirk) Frederiksen, Michael (Kelly) Geleynse, Christine(Dave) Tomaszewski, Debbie (Ken) Lafreniere, Stephanie (Greg) Ropp; 28 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and niece Jane Jensen.
Muriel supported her husband in the 1934 start-up of the familly business, Eric Greenbeck Plumbing and Heating. She worked at the London Free Press in food services during the 1970's and she enjoyed holiday cruises in the Mediteranean, Carribean, Central America and Hawaii. Muriel was a longstanding member of the New St. James Presbyterian Church. Friends will be received by the familly at Needham Funeral Home, 520 Dundas Street, London on Monday April 3, 2017 from 6 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be held at New St. James Presbyterian Church 280 Oxford Street East, London on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 10 AM. Reception to follow. Donations in Muriel's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society, or the charity of your choice.
