Cannon, Nelson Bennett

Passed away March 4th, 2020. He was 89. Nelson was born in Hampton, PEI to the late George R. Cannon and Edna A. Cannon. Nelson was predeceased by his loving wife June, in 2017 after 64 Years of Marriage.

He was also predeceased by his siblings Edith Norton, Lorna Fierheller, Vera Brown, Jack Cannon and Margaret MacClure. Nelson is survived by his children Steve (Carol) of Manotick, ON and Carol Ann (David) Bray of London, ON; grandchildren Michael Cannon of Ottawa, ON and Kristen (Dennis) Buter of Greely, ON and great grandchildren Ruby and Cole Buter of Greely, ON.; sisters Roberta Zerbo of Pompano Beach Florida USA and Ruth (Vince) Keough of Victoria PEI and many nieces and nephews.

Nelson retired from the Military (RCEME) as a Master Warrant Officer after 37 years. He then went to work for the Government of Canada (Civil Service) for 13 years. Family and friends may gather for visitation at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas Street, London Ontario N6B 1W6) on Monday March 9th from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. The Funeral service will be held the following day on Tuesday March 10th beginning at 11am in the Chapel at Needham Funeral Service.

The family would like to ask anyone with a Toronto Maple leafs Jersey, to please wear it to the visitation in honor of Nelson.
