Norman Vincent MacIntosh

January 11, 1945 to July 23, 2024

With broken hearts, the family of Norm MacIntosh are saddened to announce his peaceful passing after a brief illness, with his loving family by his side at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario.

Left to mourn are his loving wife Dianne (nee Kempt) MacIntosh, treasured daughters Tracie (Nick) Klisht, Tara (the late Gregor Leithead) MacIntosh and his beautiful twin grandchildren, Abigail and Benjamin.

Norm was born in North Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Son of the late William and Sadie (McCready) MacIntosh of Millville. Predeceased by his siblings Mary (Karl) Alderson, Frankie (Murray) Cantwell, Billy MacIntosh, Yvonne (Don) Cantwell, Florence (Chester) Bugden, Jack MacIntosh, Anna (Donald) McInnis and Ernie MacIntosh.

Survived and deeply missed by his sisters Helen (the late Melvin) Boutilier of Little Pond, Marguerite (Rollie) Leyte of Millville and sister in law Joan (the late Jack) MacIntosh of Oakville.

Norm is fondly remembered by his brother in law Ronnie and wife Dianne Kempt and sister in law Darlene and husband Timothy G Whitty of Groves Point.

He leaves behind special cousins, much loved nieces and nephews and countless friends from around the world.

Norm was a 30 year veteran of the Canadian Armed forces, a member of the RCEME Core. He proudly served two postings in CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick, CFB Petawawa, Ontario, two overseas tours to CFB Lahr, Germany, CFB Kingston, Ontario and London, Ontario from 1969 to 1999. Peacekeeping tours included the Golan Heights, Bosnia and a deployment to Norway. After retiring from the military he worked with General Dynamics Land Systems in London until 2010.

A service of remembrance will be held at Needham’s Funeral Home on Dundas St in London, Ontario on August 17th, 2024 starting at 12 pm. There will be a service at 1 pm and reception to follow.
