Mr. Patrick Jerome Morrow

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick Jerome Morrow Sr., P.Eng., on April 28, 2023, peacefully in his home. Born on September 25, 1937, in Copper Cliff, Ontario, Patrick was the beloved husband of Geraldine Morrow (nee Taylor) for 58 wonderful years. Together, they raised three children - Helen-Marie (Jeff), Patrick Jr. (Jill), and Elizabeth (Brian). Patrick Sr. was a devoted father, always putting his family first. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Keith, Jessica, Riley, Alexandra, Samantha, Kaitlyn, Ethan, and Paige, who brought him immense joy and happiness. Patrick Sr.'s love for his family was unwavering, and his legacy will live on through them. Patrick Sr. was a member of the first graduating class of St. Charles College in Sudbury, Ontario, and earned his degree from the University of Windsor in 1963. He married the love of his life and was designated as a professional engineer in 1965. Patrick Sr. worked as a civil engineer with various municipalities before settling in Sudbury in 1978, where he served the community as the Commissioner of Public Works until his retirement in 1999. Patrick Sr. was passionate about sports, particularly golf, hockey, and curling. He had many fond memories on the ice with his St. Charles College team, on the Lively golf course, and with the Industrial Curling League. Patrick Sr. was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Frances Morrow, and his siblings Desmond, Johnny, Anne Kay, Pauline Syer, and Margaret Maroney. He will be deeply missed by his surviving sister, Monica Davies, as well as his many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A service to honour and celebrate the life of Patrick Sr. will be held at All Saints Parish in Strathroy on May 12 2023 at 1:00PM.
