Peter Jarosch

Peter was predeceased by his wife Dale Marie Jarosch (formerly Madden, née Lamb) January 29/2013, and stepdaughter Victoria Gay Madden September 12/2019.

He is survived by stepdaughter Cindy Jane Madden and her partner Ian Wasserman, stepson Chris Madden, and stepdaughter Monica Madden.

Peter was born in Klagenfurt, Austria to mother Rosina Jarosch (née Greier) and stepfather Rudolph Jarosch, and he immigrated to Canada on July 11/1953. He graduated from Fanshawe College in 1972 and then worked as an Air Conditioning Technician.

Peter and his wife Dale were avid campers who travelled to numerous campgrounds in Ontario with some forays into the U.S. In early years they favoured the Pinery Provincial Park and in later years MacGregor Provincial Park.

Both Cindy and Chris are eternally grateful that Peter came into our mother’s life, that had often been full of strife and crushing responsibility borne all alone, and created with her a life of love, greater happiness, and shared adventures, often in the great outdoors. Our mother likewise eased some of the haunting wounds of Peter’s traumatic childhood in war-torn, Nazi corrupted Austria.

Peter had pre-arranged for his cremation with Needham Funeral Home in London; there will be no funeral or any services at his request. His ashes will join those of his wife Dale and stepdaughter Victoria in a beautiful and peaceful place in nature – where each of them longed to be.
