Roy Barran

Passed away on February 16, 2013 at University Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer in his 85th year. Beloved husband of nearly 60 years of Barbara (nee Fradgley). Loving father of Cindy (Paul) Soetemans, Chris (Susan) Barran, Cathy Barran (Paul Chartier), Colleen (Brian) Parker and Cam (Jane) Barran. Cherished Pop of Angie (Chris), Ashley(Ryan), Chyanne (Brad), Brooke, Danielle, Devin, Cassidy, Ciara, Cydney and Colin. Great Grandfather of Nick, Katelyn, Landon, Natasha and Nolan. Roy was a longtime employee of the London Free Press and was born and raised in London. He was a great family man who made everyone laugh. He had a positive attitude throughout his entire life. Special thanks to the London VON’s who cared for him and kept him laughing. Especially Lindsey, Jan and John. Visitation will be held at the Needham Funeral Home (520 Dundas St. London) on Tuesday February 19, 2013 from 6-8 pm and Wednesday February 20, 2013 from 11:30 am -12:30 pm where a Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at 12:30 pm.
