Rudolf Franz Gert Mueller

Dec. 14, 1937- September 28, 2024

It is with a heavy heart our family announces the passing of Rudolf (Rudy) Franz Gert Mueller during the early morning of Saturday Sept. 28th, 2024 in London On. in his 86th year as he succumbed to his lengthy battle of heart failure at home with family. He will be missed by his ex-wife, Brenda. He will be forever cherished by his daughters Susan and Connie (Allan), grand-sons Riley (Cassandra), Corey, Kyle, Nigel, Colin and great-granddaughter Evelyn. Remembered by family afar and friends that still remain.

Born Dec. 14th, 1937 in Coburg Germany to his Mother Irma and Father Louis. He was the eldest child of three with his younger brother predeceased Helmut (Anna Marie) and younger sister Sonya. Rudolf immigrated to Canada in his early twenties with a just a tool box and skilled trade in upholstery. Met and married Brenda and begin his family in London, Ontario.

He worked hard at his trade with pride, taught himself English through reading newspaper comics, which he continued to enjoy till the end and addressed them as the “dessert of the paper”. An avid reader of books, a daily jokester of humor or a play on words to make you go hmmmm , humble but strong minded and often left an impression with everyone he met. Rudy was above all known by his friends as a man that loved to DANCE. He circulated all the Legions and Halls every chance he got. Meeting many long time friends and rubbing shoulders with some well accomplished individuals that always had his ear. In his later years, he could be found often trying his luck at the casino. Go lucky 7!

In lieu of flowers Rudolf requested contributions to the Salvation Army for all they do. Shout out to V.O.N., Paramed and Ontario Health at Home for the support to keep Dad comfortable at home and helping our family on the journey.

Celebration of Life will be held at Needhams Funeral Service, 520 Dundas Street, London, ON N6B1W6, Monday Oct. 14th, 2024, at 3:00 with visitation 2 hours prior to service. Following the ceremony we would be honoured if you could join us at the German Canadian Club, 1 Cove Rd, London, ON N6J 1J1, 5-9 for snacks, drinks and music. The Cremation has taken place. A private ceremony at Forest Lawn is to be scheduled at a later date.
