Ruth Leila Slaughter

Passed away peacefully at Marian Villa on Saturday, January 24th, 2015 at the age of 98. Ruth is now in the arms of her loving husband Elmer, after 18 years apart. Devoted mother to Don (Vera Slaughter) and Joanne (Farooq Rehman – 2011). She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren; Brigitte, Katherine, Farah, Asiyah and Shiraz, great-grandchildren; Eden, Abby, Gabby, Kai and Mays. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Brubacher and all of the fifth floor staff at Marian Villa for all the loving care and support. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 28th, 2015 from 10 – 11 a.m. at Bishop Cronyn Memorial Anglican Church (442 William St.) with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. (additional parking is available at Needham Funeral Service, 520 Dundas St.) Memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
