

Anello (Neil) Campanelli passed away peacefully on June 16, 2015 at the age of 88 with family by his side. He was an honorable, quiet, Godly, and hardworking man. His true joy was being supportive and present for his family, volunteering at the Knights of Columbus (a Fourth Degree Knight) and the Children’s Miracle Network Telethons. Neil is survived by his wife Lil, his children: Ken, Linda (& Larry) Burton, Debbie (& Bob) Simek. 8 Grandchildren, 2 1/2 Great Grandchildren, and brother, Frank (& Carol) Campanelli, as well as a large extended family. Neil was born in Plainfield, New Jersey where he graduated from North Plainfield HS. He had his own butcher shop prior to working for the Leigh High Valley Railroad. He and his family moved to Long Beach, CA in 1965 where he became a Federal Food Inspector. A viewing will be held Monday, June 22 from 4-6 PM followed by the Rosary. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 23 at 9 AM with burial immediately following at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach, CA. A Celebration of Life Reception will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The family requests in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Knights of Columbus or Children’s Miracle Network.
