

Benedicta Valdez was born in the Philippines and lived a life defined by faith, compassion, service, and devotion to her family. For more than 40 years, she dedicated herself to caring for others as a Registered Charge Nurse, touching countless lives through her skill, kindness, and unwavering commitment to her patients and colleagues.
Above all, Benedicta’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a loving mother to five children, a cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren, and a treasured great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. Her love, guidance, strength, and sacrifices created a legacy that will continue for generations.
Benedicta passed away peacefully at her home in Lakewood, California, on May 31, 2026. Though she is no longer with us in person, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the example she set through a lifetime of service and love.
Her legacy is one of compassion, resilience, generosity, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
Visitation will be held at Stricklin/Snively, 1952 Long Beach Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90806, US, on June 24, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Religious Ceremony will take place at St Pancratius School, 3601 St Pancratius Pl, Lakewood, CA 90712, US, on June 25, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will be held at All Souls Cemetery & Mortuary, 4400 Cherry Ave, Long Beach, CA 90807, US, on June 25, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm (next day).
