July 3, 1926 - May 23, 2012
Bud, 85, was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was born in Buffalo, New York and came to California on his honeymoon in 1952. He served in World War II, stationed in Germany. He was an engineer at Rockwell (now Boeing). He was an avid Dodger fan. He never missed watching a game. He enjoyed going to lunch every Friday with his daughter, Jill, to the Golden Steer. It was his favorite place to eat along with any kind of Mexican food. In his younger years he loved to go camping, fishing, and play cards. He also liked volunteering at Eckert's General Store and searching for treasures. His greatest joy was his children and grandchildren. He loved getting together for all the holidays. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth; his son, Mark (Mary); his daughters, Jill Mather (Chuck) and Kim Eckert (Chris); grandchildren, Korey, Kenzi, Natalie, Laura, Blake, Jessica (Nathan) and Christopher; and his great-grandchildren, Charlie Eckert and Jackson Buffington. He was a kind, generous man who will truly be missed by his family. Services will be private.
