George was born in Huntington Beach, CA to Charles and Theresa Koeller. He was one of five children, three brothers and one sister.
He and his brothers along with their father owned and operated Koeller Bros. House Moving out of Hawthorne, Ca .
Served in WW11 as a Navy Seabee (18th Batallion) in the Pacific Theater. He also served in the Korean Conflict.
He worked for many years in the manufacturing department of Northrop Aircraft in Hawthorne, CA where he eventually worked his way up to a management position. He was employed at Northrop Aircraft until his retirement in the mid 1980’s.
In his retirement years he enjoyed traveling the country attending the annual 18th Battalion Seabee reunions. He also enjoyed visiting local casinos with family and friends. He was also an avid sports fan.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Deborah in 1981, and his wife of 50 years Helen in 2001.
George leaves behind his daughter Gail Scott and her husband Michael; two grandchildren Tara Scott Montezuma (Luis) and Steven Scott (Samantha); and five great-grandchildren Gage Scott, Kasey Scott, Hayden Scott, Kaydi Moctezuma and Evirly Moctezuma. He also leaves behind his faithful snacking buddy Dusty the family Cocker Spaniel.
