James Edward Russell

March 7, 1943 – March 11, 2012

Jim died peacefully Sunday morning surrounded by his family at home. He enjoyed a long and successful career with Eastman/Office Depot in Long Beach before retiring in the fall of 2004. He most enjoyed barbeques with family and friends, surfing in his younger years, golfing, classic cars, bicycling and the simplest pleasures that life offered. Being in the company of loved ones was for Jim – the best day.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy, son Jim Jr., daughter Wendy Jones, son-in-law Erik, grandsons Tyler and Jarod, father Bill Russell and spouse Jeanne, two brothers Jerry and John, and many nieces and nephews.

A service celebrating Jim’s life will be held at Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell Mortuary this Friday, March 16, at 10:30 am located at 5161 Arbor Road, Long Beach
