Karen L. Collins

Karen was born in Lynwood, California to Helen Rauch and Peter McGrath. She grew up in Hollywood and attended Blessed Sacrament School and Immaculate Heart High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from California State University Los Angeles.

Music was an important part of her life. She played the piano and sang in choirs during her grade school and high school years. After that she sang to her kids. She was always singing.

Karen worked as a legal secretary at O’Melveny & Myers for sixteen years before she retired in 2006. In retirement she puttered in the garden, read, watched movies and traveled to Alaska and Ireland.

She is survived by her sisters Patricia Cheap and Terrie Floyd, her children Tracy, Sean (Angel Decatur), Kevin (Debra), and Patrick (Jacintha) and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
