Mildred Fischer died peacefully July 7, 2012. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother (GG).
Millie was born in Oklahoma and raised on a farm with her mother, father, and 12 brothers and sisters. She came to California in 1937 to marry Al Fischer. They settled in Lakewood to raise their three children. Millie and Al were a devoted family who loved barbecues, dancing, golfing, playing cards with friends, as well as spending summers camping and fishing in their trailer.
Al died January 5, 2006 and the love of his life has now joined him, Gelene their baby granddaughter, brothers, sisters, and numerous friends.
The words to describe Millie would be, "Happiness is being a Grandmother and 'GG.'" She is survived by 3 children: Ron and wife JoAnn Fischer, Suleeta Smith, and Ed and wife Pat Fischer. She was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She lived a long abundant life and loved her home in Leisure World. She will be remembered lovingly by all!
