Sure enough, six months later they were married in September of 1951 and moved to Long Beach where they raised their five children. Orville loved the outdoors; camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing, skiing, body surfing and skin diving. Every summer he would take his family on wonderful vacations to Yosemite Valley. He was always an avid reader and loved escaping to the library. He worked as a Foreman and ultimately the Plant Supervisor for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Plant in LA for 36 years, until he retired. After
retirement he stayed active building furniture with his brother in law, doing restoration and building canvas stretcher bars from his home workshop. He deeply loved his immediate and extended family and spent his life selflessly attending to us all.
