Peggy Margaret Harris

The family of Peggy Margaret Bell Harris is saddened to announce her passing. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, she died on September 11th after a valiant struggle with dementia.

Born on October 14, 1922 in Stamford, Texas, she was married to her late husband George for 41 years. Long-time residents of Long Beach, they raised four sons (Stephen, Jeffrey, Michael, and Paul.) She is also survived by four daughters-in-law, 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Always active, she was involved in many service organizations, retired as a department supervisor at Rancho Los Amigos, and traveled the globe. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services and a celebration of her life will be held on September 19 at Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell Mortuary (5161 E. Arbor Road, Long Beach) at 11:00 am. She will be interred at Forest Lawn (Rose of Sharon Mausoleum) in Long Beach.
