

Sunita S. Yin, 44, of Long Beach, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 06, 2015, at Lakewood Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 5, 1970, in Cambodia, the daughter of Sichan Yin and Helen Doung.
After arriving to the U.S., from Cambodia, Sunita graduated from Millikan High School. Shortly afterward, Sunita began work at Smith Paint where she would work for nearly 25 years. She loved her job and the people she encountered on a daily basis. With her contagious smile and positive energy, Sunita made a great impact on numerous people.
Sunita was an incredible person. She adored the beauty of nature, such as sunflowers and the ocean. She loved to travel, collecting antiques and spending time with family and friends.
Besides her parents, Sichan and Helen, Sunita leaves behind; her only beloved son, Dannie; her sisters, Sally and Chanda; her brothers, Mike, Billy and Vonna; her boyfriend, Christopher; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved.
Sunita's viewing will be held on Sunday, October 25th, from 4pm to 8pm at Stricklin/Snively Mortuary. Her funeral service will be held the following day at Stricklin/Snively Mortuary on Monday, October 26th, at 10am.
