William Ernest Barnes

William Ernest Barnes passed away on April 28, 2017 at the age of 86. Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife Wanda Faye Barnes, his brother Charles Barnes, and sisters Lula Madsen, Leona Reiser and Irma Burhans.

Mr. Barnes is survived by his children: Step-Daughter, Patricia Betancourt (Tony), Daughter, Renee Barnes and Son, Terry Barnes (Gaylen).

He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Michelle Betancourt-Rice (Andy), Corey Barnes (Vanessa), Cassie Ayala (Lorenzo) and Courtney Barnes, 1 Great Granddaughter, Maddison Camacho and 1 Great-Great Grandson, Royal Camacho.

Bill proudly served our Country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War, where he earned the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Awards. He was born in Sears Michigan, and resided in Chandler, Arizona. He was also an avid supporter and member of the Shriners and Purple Heart Association.

Bill was a devoted husband to the love of his life Wanda, a caring and thoughtful father to his children and a loving grandpa to all of his grandchildren. He will be interred at Valley of the Sun Mortuary in Chandler, Arizona where he will once again join his beloved wife Wanda for eternity
