William F Kennedy

April 5, 1923- June 30,2011

William F. (Bill) Kennedy, age 88, passed away June 30,2011. A lifelong resident of Long Beach he graduated from Jordan High School in 1940, excelling in baseball and basketball. He served with honors in WWII in the Army Air Force stationed in England. He married Margie L. Hobbs in 1947. He worked for Southern California Edison as a linesman before getting his general contractor’s license building over 500 homes in his 58 year career. He was a member of the Long Beach Masonic Temple and El Bekal Shrine serving in many positions. He loved traveling with friends and the Shriners visiting many countries worldwide. He grew incredible tomatoes which were coveted family, friends and neighbors. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margie, son Gregory, daughter Stacy and husband Ken Bemis, granddaughters, Jessica and husband Nick Hause, Kelly Bemis, 3 great grandchildren, Nicholas Jr. and Joslyn Hause and Rylee Noel.

A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, July6, 2011 with viewing at 10:00am and mass at 11:00am at St. Pancratius Parish, 3519 St. Pancratius Pl., Lakewood, Ca.
