

Yung Subin, born on August 5, 1949, in Cambodia to parents, Pheng Subin and Phan Thongdeng. Her family includes Munn, Khong, Somphong, (Yung), Noukhan, Bunthan.
Her life’s story includes surviving war in Cambodia, to the Thai refugee camps, to raising a family in America. She is most known for her strong commitment to her faith and tirelessly volunteers her time to Bhuddist temples in our community.
After 76 trips around the Sun, Yung’s journey with us ended at Long Beach Memorial Hospital where she peacefully succumbed to ailments on January 18, 2026.
After cremation, Yung’s ashes will be interred close to her mother’s place of rest.
Yung is survived by her daughter, Nakry, and her siblings Khong, Somphong, Bunthan. She also leaves behind cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, friends, and a community of people that will miss her.
Those who know her will remember her amazing cooking, deep faith, caring and kindness.
